Finally got the Xbox live kit setup yesterday evening and loaded up
after some fiddling about, the starter kit I bought came with demos
for Out Run 2, Fifa 2005 and Rainbow Six.  After setting up my
gamertag it was straight onto the Fifa 2005 demo's live bit.  I went

starting up live24 Nov 2004 07:12 GMT6
The very first time that you sign up with xbox live do you have to give them
a credit card number or just a subscription card code.  My parents will not
give me their credit card number, but will let me buy subscription cards.
Thanks all.
UK recommended ADSL modem/router24 Nov 2004 02:55 GMT1
I have been trying to access X-Box live using a PC (WinME) and Windows ICS
through a BT Voyager USB ADSL modem and I can't get it to work. I suspect I
should replace the modem with an Ethernet capable modem/router. Can anyone
in the UK recommend a cheap but reliable device ...
Online Air Combat Game24 Nov 2004 02:54 GMT2
Is it just me or does the xbox sorely need an online enabled Air Combat type
game with modern jet fighters?  The xbox has had several WWI/WWII type
flight sim games, and Air Force Delta Storm was ok, but I want one with xbox
live functionality. I want to be able to fly a modern ...

So has anyone figured out, 100% sure, what these new security measures are
on LIVE that are catching out people that have modded boxes?
Replacing Communicator Adapters22 Nov 2004 18:51 GMT1
Lets say your communicator adapter for Xbox live is broken, stolen, or
swallowed by your dog.
Do you HAVE to buy another headset to get it, or can you find it
somewhere to just replace that?  (And preferably save a few bones.)

8 port router that will work with xbox live22 Nov 2004 15:48 GMT2
Anyone know of an 8-port router that works with xbox live? I currently
have a non-xbox-compatible router connecting 4 pc's, and I'd prefer to
replace it with a single-box solution rather than a router and a
separate switch. Thanks.
Halo 2 Gamers New Zealand XBox Live22 Nov 2004 03:52 GMT4
I am getting a little frustrated waiting for each Halo 2 multiplayer
game to begin. Up to 5 minute waits to play a 3 minute game.
I am looking to start a community of New Zealand Halo 2 Players
(Friends List) that when online I can create my own game and invite
Xbox live trial???21 Nov 2004 19:45 GMT8
Is there anyway to get a trial of Xbox Live?? I just got me a new Xbox, and
want to try out live, but don't neccessarily want to commit to the headset
and subscription. Is there anything like a 30 day free trial?? Do you HAVE
to have the headset, or is it just s good idea??
ICS  config help21 Nov 2004 15:47 GMT4
I have an xbox hooked up with a crossover cable to my pc's spare NIC
card. I use Windows ICS to share my D-Link Wireless Card to my Dlink
DWL-7100 AP wireless acces point, and then to Netgear RP114 Router. I've
already solved the problem for the netgear router. My xbox still keeps ...
Repairs out of warrenty..21 Nov 2004 02:58 GMT3
Just to say, I think MS have done well over the recent live bans..
They are very clever and the way they have quite easily detected modified
boxes is great work.
I know what the standard answer may be, but my xbox is out of warranty now
