I already have a home network setup between my Microsoft basestation and a
Microsoft wireless access point but I want to hook up my Xbox to my home

my brother is having problems connecting to the live service,  we have the
NTL xbox live service that gives us a 2nd IP address.
it's picking up the IP and DNS Server information but fails to connect to
the service, this has worked for months before.

I'm trying to hook my XBOX up to my home network and I just can't seem
to get it done.  Here's how my network is set up:
My internet access is DirecWay (yeah, I know I can't game on it).
This goes to a router in another room.  There's a WAP connected to

I can't connect to XBox Live.  My equipment is a Netgear WG-614 router and
the Microsoft MN-740 game adapter.  The adapter connects to the router but
does not connect to xbox live.
What are the proper settings?

Why is RJ-45 used over CAT-5 connection for X-Box Live?  Can you use
Cat-5 ethernet to connect? (UK).
Currently I connect my DSL modem to my PC via Cat-% thernet and dont
