My thoughts on the New Xbox Experience23 Nov 2008 07:07 GMT22
I downloaded and installed the update last night in about a minute
from the time I first booted up the system to when the new intro movie
started up. I must say that the incredibly quick speed with which the
process completes is impressive.
Finally played Portal23 Nov 2008 06:36 GMT10
Now I can appreciate the lyrics to that goofy song.   Hilarious.  I
highly recommend it.  Played the whole game in about 2 hours.

XNE sucks a.s!22 Nov 2008 07:17 GMT11
WTF were they thinking?
NXE is a cluttered mess!
Just because Bill Gates wanted to copy Nintendo, we now have to put up
with this garbage?
NXE22 Nov 2008 06:54 GMT21
So far I kinda hate it.. Seems like more work to do the same things and they
have kiddied it up a little..
Then again I hated windows 95 over 3.1, and windows xp over 98.. I guess I
will get used to it, not like we have a choice really anyway.

NXE: Ok, blood pressure returning to normal...22 Nov 2008 06:09 GMT5
Getting used to NXE, although I still prefer the blade dashboard.
The "Mii's" are silly and stupid.  I have a Wii and they are cute on
it, but is it really needed for the XB?  The "Mii's" on the XB, while
more detailed, are actually less customizable than on the Wii.

LOL, has it come to this, Sony?  This is so cheap and lame.  But I
still put Sony below this kind of BS though, so it really ...

Dead Space a worthwhile game so far21 Nov 2008 16:47 GMT31
It's not a completely revolutionary or genre-redefining game but it's
a lot of fun to play for the most part (and a bit different from
typical shooters in that you're not trying to aim for heads or
torsos).
Halo 3: Don't install to HDD21 Nov 2008 16:19 GMT4
Ok, I installed games on the HDD and it does improve load times quite
a bit.
However, when I ran Halo 3 after installing it, I was given a message
that Halo 3 is optimized to run off the disc and not the HDD.  The
NXE Discovery and Question:21 Nov 2008 14:05 GMT6
OK, first the discovery... you can share your avatars online:

Just swap "GAMERTAG" with, well, the targets gamertag. So for example:

I rent games. Why do people spend good money to buy them?21 Nov 2008 00:28 GMT15
Excuse me for butting in. I'm a 62 year old retiree video game addict
who's played nearly 200 mostly shooters (FPS's) in the last 4 years,
or about a game a week. I don't play online, because I wouldn't dare
compete against 16 year olds.
