I've recently received my 360 back from repair and all seems well. I've been
into the dashboard and reset all my settings again with one exception.
When I go in to the 'Console settings' blade section I can change my locale
to the UK and set what type of clock, 12 or 24 hour ...

So my xbox is currently on its way to germany.
Can I use my hard drive in another 360 and still access all the content on
it?

I`ve got 2 XBox 360`s that ideally i`d like to be able to use on the same
gamertag (to allow me to use all purchased games etc) but not at the same
time.  Is there any way to do this that doesn`t involve recovering the
gamertag each time I swap over?

Play from hard drive. Copy your games from the game disc and play
directly from the hard drive. Not only will the drive not spin, but load
times are quicker, as well. Of course, you will still need the disc in
the tray to prove you own the game.
