A couple of quick questions, if I may:
(1) How do I attach my PS2 to my existing surround sound system
(decoder & speakers)?
(2) And most importantly, do many PS2 games actually use 5:1 sound?

I just can't do it. :(
I've managed to leave the courtyard and dodge a spiked floor, climb a
ladder, swing on two poles and hang on a crack in the wall. I'm pretty sure
I need to jump backwards onto the ledge, but I just don't know how to do it.

Now, if I set my ps2 to 16:9 in the config options, does this mean that
games will use widescreen, or will it simply add a black bar to each side to
compensate if the game isn't written for widescreen?
