Bah, it's not that hard! With cooking, the few items you do get, and the bloke who heals you, the first dungeon is a breeze :) For a start, defending really works and you need to remember to do it if you're fighting manually, and it's a good idea to set up the character AI as

Just reading the ign review and this paragraph is a little disturbing. Which leads us to one of Tales' largest problems -- the difficulty. Instead of a steady curve, you'll find a scatter plot. It's all over the map. You'll encounter rather stupid mini-games and dungeon challenges ...
