I've got a modded Pal ps2 with can play both Pal/Ntsc games in full colour
using scart, but when I connect a s-video cable I can't get a Ntsc colour
screen. The Pal games are razor sharp. All the gadgets on the internet I can
find convert to Pal using scart or composite video. ...

On certain dvd's I play they fade in and out on the PS2.
Doesnt happen on all of them. Any ideas?

I've just bought a PS2 -> USB converter(From Play247.com ?6.99) and a Sony
Dual analogue controller. The Converter has room for 2 controllers.
After installing the driver, the convertor shows up in  Control Panel ->
Gaming Options as

I got a DVD burner for xmas with NERO 6 and a bunch of DVD-R disks throw in.
Now, I'd like to back up my games. Can anyone suggest a method?

Freaky game.  I can see why it's been banned in NZ.
(You'll have to try it with the headset.  it's a completely different game
