Wade McCluskey vs. CARRIERS AT WAR31 Jul 2009 18:39 GMT31
Why is it that McCluskey's famous strike at Midway hit *ONLY* the three
Japanese carriers that his pilots could see?  Why didn't this strike
attack any cruisers?  Why didn't this strike attack any destroyers?
Why can't CARRIERS AT WAR be this f.cking smart?

No, this isn’t a tongue-in-cheek post – I was just reading up a bit on
Clausewitz and his ideas surrounding what he called “the friction of
war”.
Clausewitz himself defined friction as “… concept that more or less

Hi everyone,
Please forget everything I said before about Admiral's Edition pricing. No,
seriously.
Just a quick update on Ancient Armies29 Jul 2009 22:27 GMT22
I have reached a juncture on this now, where *finally* I'm happy with both
the mapping system and the graphics, so I thought I'd post some links to
show them off. :)
Whilst graphics do not make a wargame I think the effort of adding real-time
Marathon in 15 Mins! Ancient Armies Video of the map editor in action29 Jul 2009 22:22 GMT3
Last video - honest!
I thought it would be important to show how easy it is to use the tooling in
the game I'm writing. In this video I am recreating the Marathon
battlefield, which took around 15 mins - which isn't too bad. The video is

WITPAE ~3 hours away (at least)29 Jul 2009 14:46 GMT18
"The earliest the release would possibly happen today is around 11AM US
Eastern time, the latest it could possibly happen is 4PM US Eastern time
tomorrow (Tuesday). However, things are looking good for a release today (so
far). I'd say there's a 95% chance of a release today." ...
Any small to medium scenarios in WitP AE?29 Jul 2009 09:16 GMT6
I'm interested in this one, but I'd need to know what scenarios you get. I
much preferred the more advanced mechanics of WitP over UV, but UV had many
more scenarios that could be easily played out in a session or two, which
lead me to playing more UV.
Battlefront's Steve Grammont pisses on HPS29 Jul 2009 07:04 GMT14
While trying to defend his compamy's stance on charging money for a DRM'd
"patch" to run CM on Vista "Mr Tact" managed to squeeze in a shot at HPS:
