Mmmm, now I'm MAD! Harpoon 3...31 Aug 2006 07:46 GMT27
This has now made me even more mad and vindicates my decision not to
purchase the ANW version. It seems that after not patching the game into a
usable state, they have now removed all windows support for the game on
their website unless you go ANW. If they think this is going to ...
Gateway wargames30 Aug 2006 16:22 GMT17
A new article on The Wargamer has Pete Gade calling for gateway
wargames - a step-by-step organized path for people new to the hobby.
Or alternatively : one game in which this is achieved.

The interesting thing is that this game seems to have a converter to
let your Victorian era campaign continue in HoI2 - Doomsday.

COTA:  I still wish I had this Order...27 Aug 2006 01:05 GMT35
I dunno if I said this before, but I still wish there was an orders
button in HTTR/COTA that meant, "Attack *THIS* Enemy Unit, and keep
attacking it, even if it moves or retreats" rather than always having to
set a geographical location as an objective.
Silent Hunter IV - just announced25 Aug 2006 16:10 GMT15
Just learned that UbiSoft has announced Silent Hunter IV.
And apparantly it won't contain StarForce :)

Wrong, the average European media IS the US media.  They tend to watch US Tv
shows.. they just don't spend as much time watching them so they don't
Distant Guns -- the campaign is great23 Aug 2006 21:14 GMT61
I started a thread a while back asking if anyone had tried the Distant Guns
campaign game (the demo is only of one battle, and not a very exciting one
at that).  I never really got an answer, as the thread went off in other
directions.  I finally bit the bullet and bought the ...
Shrapnel - new blog entry23 Aug 2006 20:53 GMT6
A half serious blog entry where the observation is made that a *really*
stupid title generates extra attention - even if the product doesn't
warrant it.

Grand Strategy, inspired by Risk23 Aug 2006 13:44 GMT2
Grand Strategy is a free, web-based game inspired by the board game
Risk.   I created and operate the server here:
http://www.denizengames.com
It is free to play and I don't run ads on the server.  We have a
Birth of America, a success?23 Aug 2006 12:59 GMT10
I went to AGEOD's site today and I noticed a very interesting piece of
news on the front page, it looks like Birth of America will be
available on STEAM.
So you will be able to get a download from 3 sources, AGEOD, Paradox
Commander - Europe at War - first screenshots23 Aug 2006 08:38 GMT9

The Ardennes Forest and Antwerp-at-Sea location has me re-checking my
maps, but it's gameplay that counts :)
