Hi. I hadn't played a computer game in about fifteen years, and then
about a year ago I bought Rome: Total War. Now this had some good
things about it, but it soon started to annoy me. There are huge
numbers of things wrong with how R:TW works, but the worst of it was

An update on the status of the project...
We have been aiming for a late July release, but it's been increasingly
clear over the past 3 to 4 weeks that we were not going to make this.

I've always loved the age of sail.  Played Wooden Ships and Iron Men
back in the day.  Is Salvo good?  Is the gameplay sharp and
interesting, or does it bog down in slugfests?  Does it look good and
