Got an absolute scoop afaik - while checking out the latest demo's on
my favourite mirroring ftp site there was this little file (94 MB)
dated today called Diplomacy_Demo.zip
No mention of it yet on the Paradox site, but it's the demo allright :

Any comments on what anyone would regard as the best RTS war game at
the battalian level and below, please? I've played close-combat a lot,
but it is really only a company-level game at most and the maps are
small.

Matrix Games has acquired the publishing rights for the complete
Talonsoft back-catalogue of games.
The Battleground series, Campaign series, all the TOAW flavours, etc.
