Computer wargaming as we know it is gone. When you can't buy serious
wargames at EBWorld, then you'd better duck, because the sky really is
falling down. Internet sales are not going to attract new players (how
many potential wargamers are likely to stumble on the Matrix or HPS

Despite what people have said about the fast pace, I have found the game to
be excellent. They have improved almost every aspect of play over MTW. The
graphics are excellent, the diplomacy more involved, and the battles more

Am I missing something, how do you play as someone other than the Romans on
the Imperial Campaign?  It clearly says you can under "How to Win" on page
11 of the manual*, but I can't figure it out.  Please help.

Victory conditions?  Points for taking this or that location?  Points
for eliminating enemy units?  I mean, I know in general what each

So the secretive price for their latest game has finally been
announced. Here comes another game not available at the store, no
produced manual, and no demo. And at the low price of only $60. Matrix
must have been reading some of those left over strategy first

I grew up playing some of Sid Meier's early war games, Crusade in Europe,
Decision in the Desert, Conflict in Vietnam, etc. on an Apple II. They had a
certain overall 'global' level feel about them that I've not been able to
find in other games. I'm trying to find similar war ...
