OT - opponent test30 Apr 2004 10:09 GMT8
When playing wargames it's often advantageous to know what kind of

I for one am very much looking forward to this-for once I think
a grand strategy game will be doing things "right" (and if you
think something is screwed up you can use what appears to
ACROSS THE DNEPR:  Two criticisms.24 Apr 2004 00:23 GMT161
Finally took a break from all the HTTR gaming (with a few feints in the
direction of CMAK) and got into ATD in a serious way (as opposed to the
dozen or so games over time I'd tried previously) over the last week.
My original take still holds up very well; ATD is tremendous.

maneuver warfare?  Or is it apples and oranges?  TIA
Broader question for anyone else, do you ever use games to try out
strategic/operational theories?

tiller games15 Apr 2004 22:01 GMT9
i really liked the battleground series when it first came out . after
awhile i found they got tedious.the arty dialog in the modern games is very
tedious ,i would go watch tv for 1/2hour while the arty was going on in the
larger scenarios.
unit / leadership quality in games14 Apr 2004 04:45 GMT37
Napoleon once said that an army of rabbits led by a lion is superior to

thing is modelled in the games we play and how it could/should be

willing to pay for either a copy of the manual or I'll buy the whole
