Recommend a fantasy genre wargame?26 Feb 2008 20:12 GMT20
What I want:
1. This is the 21st century. I *want* graphics and sound. It doesn't
have to be over-the-top, but I don't want to play anything that feels
like a C64 or PC-DOS game. I want at least "Amiga standard".
Civ4 reveal map24 Feb 2008 21:47 GMT2
I just bought this game but I haven't had more than 30 minutes to look
at it.
What I want is a cheat to reveal the world, but only to me (single
player only). Let the AI 'discover', I don't like it.
Civ4 - One more time?20 Feb 2008 11:38 GMT12
I'm thinking of buying this game, but first I have a few questions.
I've been 'burnt' a LOT.
1) Is it a IgoUgo type, or WEGO that can be slowed down to a crawl,
paused, give orders, un-pause?
The First Impression Is A Lasting Impression16 Feb 2008 21:39 GMT1
The first date is the most apprehensive, nerve wreaking event in the
beginning of any relationship and it is also the "first impression"
and the one thing in life that can never be changed!
OK, so you have talked for months on the computer and on the phone,
How to get BFME II maps to work with Angmar faction in ROTWK?14 Feb 2008 21:02 GMT1
I have Rise of the Witch King and really enjoy playing it.  I
feel that the balance right out of the box is better than BFME II
and I like the new Angmar faction quite a bit.
However, I'm running into a problem.

Sins of a Solar Empire has gone gold!11 Feb 2008 19:25 GMT7
Just a head's up that Stardock's Sins of a Solar Empire has gone gold.
Sins of a Solar Empire is a space-based strategy game that combines 4X
depth with real-time game-play.  It has been described as
Civilizations meets Homeworld by some of the game magazines.

Strategy NG dying as well06 Feb 2008 04:20 GMT53
Sports NG is dead, the Strategy NG is dying. (sigh)
Re:  When exactly WAS the golden-age of turn-based games anyway?06 Feb 2008 02:44 GMT8
The following is just an unedited list pulled from Moby Games - the sort
criteria was 'windows' + 'year' + 'turn-based'.  I simply put it forward for
comparison, not editorial comment.

Europa Universalis on WinXP?04 Feb 2008 11:37 GMT9
Years ago I played Europa Universalis on a different machine. Recently,
after reading some history stuff, I suddenly had a desite to play it
again, so I tried to install it on my laptop. To cut a long story short,
it didn't work, I found lots of ways to fix it on the web, and they
