I was playing along and get invaded by the Mongols. They simply ended
the game.
Do they invade me, no matter what fraction I'm playing? Or do they
only invade from certain edges of the board N, E, S? Randomly?

For some reason, the ambient sound is not working in this game. My
cities are all very quiet. The sound effects and music work fine. I
tried googling for anything about this but nothing came up. Anyone
have any ideas I can try? Thanks.

Coming out on October 30 with 13 C&C games including Tiberium Wars -
think it'll actually be useful? (unlike that C&C bundle disaster that
came up a few years ago)

I just read the World In Conflict review at tomshardware. I've never
tried what they call a "neo-RTS" title, and I was intrigued. It
doesn't look like much in the way of strategy, but seems to borrow
heavily from Company of Heroes - which is no bad thing.

There's something fascinating about seeing all those little guys and
girls working in real time, in Age of Empires II. Not so much the
fighting, but the building of a settlement.
At the same time, I want to be able to control the guys and girls

Anyone else had this problem? I just picked up this little gem
recently (always wanted to see where Disciples II came from), and when
I installed it I got multiple "this program was written for Win95/
Win98/NT4" warnings. The install completed fine, and the game runs

Does the rule of archers made in "Wales" get a +1 in loyalty apply to
this version (1.2)?
And where is "Wales"? (In the game :)

I'm enjoying my new 24" monitor BenQ FP241WZ, and a lot of wargames and
strategy games really benefit from the extra estate. However, launching
Dominions 3 I see support for my native resolution (1920x1200) in the
options panel, but it is greyed out, as are higher resolutions ...

I recently borrowed Simcity 4 (including the expansion) from the
library, and I have another 3 weeks left, trying to figure out how the
game works.

Well I must say, this is the first time I buy a game which I can't
play directly without being prompted for some bloody patch that
doesn't download.
The first CoH was wonderful, finally a game where the publisher

is there any, not-too-old, strategic game like command and conquer
only much more realistic and more complex? something where you can
build your base, develop your economy, prefer your military or
economic development. but something with modern and realistic weapons

No dont panic. There was no 3.09 patch released. It went to the beta
testers and they made many changes so now its a 3.10 release.

After installing the online patch and creating a user account
the game can be played without the DVD. The graphics have been

Been out of games for a while.
My PC consists of an 939 AMD 4000+/1MB,Geforce 7900 vid card,2 GB PC3200
and a WD 160GB w/8MB. Not exactly a slouch,yet.
