With the release of Sid's Remake of Railway Tycoon I recalled all the
fun I had a long time ago with the original.
After playing both SMR! and Railway Tycoon 3 demos, both left me
unsatisfied, and it seems from what I've read on their respective fan

I have the official Civilization III game, and am looking for the no-CD
patch for the latest patched verson 1.29f. I am installing on a laptop as I
will be heading out for a couple weeks and would prefer not to transport my
CD's as well. Thanks!

    Has anyone seen this in a store anywhere?  I did a search

I did an uninstall of CIVILIZATON IV after I had added the patch 1.09.
Apparenlty the patch did not uninstall. Later I did a reinstall and XP
gives me error message that I have to first uninstall the previous
version, but that is only the few meg of the patch it is talking about.

Didn't see anything about it here, but Nival released a 4th patch for HoMM5
a couple of weeks ago. Interestingly, this is the patch that makes the game
"playable" (enjoyable, really) for me, because of this one change:

I'm having real trouble getting this running in DosBox - I've started
by telling it I have no sound card, because I thought that would be
simplest. When I run prince.exe I get a screen full of white ascii
rubbish, which blinks at me for a few seconds and then terminates

I am stuck on the (4th?) Russian mission.  It's the one with the train.  I
can't get the train on the right track to leave the map.  Any ideas?

Were you a 10six fan and left or were kicked once game shut down?
