| Settlers 10th anniversary question | 30 Sep 2006 00:52 GMT | 7 |
I've tried to play the demo, but it wouldn't work. Now I read that the specs have been turned down for the release version. Does anyone know the specs?

| first sight of the Dom3 Manual | 29 Sep 2006 17:24 GMT | 42 |
Tim Brooks of Shrapnel Games is glowing over the manual. He whipped up a couple of scans so we could all get even more hyped about getting the game. Here is one of them... http://shrapnelgames.com/Illwinter/Dom3/Images/scan_1.jpg

| w40k dark crusade | 29 Sep 2006 13:08 GMT | 3 |
Anyone else try the demo? I did and wasn't impressed by the new race, though having just watched some of the videos out there, the other new race the necrons (yes they had to have an undead race) seems to be the more interesting of the two. The Tau just seem to be a race of ...

| anyone played DEFCON? | 29 Sep 2006 09:52 GMT | 3 |
DEFCON looks like the kind of game I might love, and it's being offered through Steam as a $10 preorder, but the web pages don't say what the gameplay is like in any detail. Mostly just some evocative text and some screengrabs. No demo.

| What ever happend to randomness and simplicity of games? | 27 Sep 2006 00:25 GMT | 21 |
Ok here I go with some written regurgitation. Maybe I'm showing my age here, especially starting out with "I remember" but here goes. I remember having my Amiga 500 and a game called Star Control 3. It was one of the best games I ever played. Simple concepts, but there was a ...

Inspired by the recent trade request posts, been going through my games, and have several I really haven't played in a while, so thought I would offer them up for trade if anyone is interested. Lots of good titles here. What I have available:

| I need to find a good strategy game ! | 24 Sep 2006 00:36 GMT | 8 |
Im not beginner at realtimestrategy so I needs something special and challenging. I noticed age series are too easy for me with easy level and hard level just take longer, and I still completed it in the end, but just putting my tanks ,back, crossbowmen in the middle and spearmen ...

| Company of Heroes cutscenes | 21 Sep 2006 20:30 GMT | 8 |
This is the same in the demo as it was in the beta, lets hope its fixed in the retail version - you cannot skip cutscenes! Why is this? If you want to replay the demo mission you have to sit through them all over again - very annoying.

| More Company of Heroes nice stuff | 20 Sep 2006 16:49 GMT | 9 |
With all the bitching we do besides from what I now think is the best RTS I have played, the fact you can play it without the disk and only need one copy for your home Lan is so nice. I haven't tried the home Lan yet but when was the last time a major game let you do that ...

| Company of Heroes Demo Help | 20 Sep 2006 03:52 GMT | 7 |
So far the demo is a lot of fun, but I'm beginning to get frustrated with the second mission where you have to hold out for 15 minutes. It seems the tanks always magically avoid all the mines I place, except those by the base. I had troops outnumbering them 2 to 1 hidden behind ...

| So, how is Company of Heroes? | 19 Sep 2006 23:04 GMT | 7 |
Company of Heroes isn't coming out here before the 28th, but I'm still hoping for a RTS that actually manages to keep my attention (only Kohan managed that before). I'm not very fond of the WW2 theme, at all, but that aside, what I've read about the game sounds very good. So, I ...

| Civ IV Warlords scenario review | 19 Sep 2006 21:07 GMT | 3 |
I got Civ IV Warlords a while back and have been working my way through the scenarios it contains. Overall they are a mixed bag; some are really good (and fun) and some are terribly flawed. I played them against the AI all at the difficulty level where neither side gets an
