Stopping in-game movies30 Apr 2006 21:03 GMT1
Before the latest patch I was not getting in-game movies since I had
adjusted this in the Civ4 config editor. Now since the patch, I get
in-game movies. This causes a memory allocation error. I have 1 gig of
memory so there should not be a problem. Anyone know how to stop the
Nuke issue with Command and Conquer Zero Hour30 Apr 2006 18:03 GMT1
Hi, I've been playing the China Tank General for over a month- easier to
micromanage - but I noticed a crazy issue regarding the Nuke. I had this
game- where we limited the nuke to 1 per player- at my enemy's request.
So I've got the Nuke and I've also got the full artillary ...
Why do games assume...28 Apr 2006 19:26 GMT33
that I *want* them to use ~My Documents ...?
<rant>
I never want *anything* to go into that stupid folder,  and I hate the
way the MS interface keeps shoving it in my face.  I really wish
Star Wars Empires at War- anybody else not buying it?28 Apr 2006 19:26 GMT10
Previews and reviews say pass.   It looks like it is trying to be a "Total
War" game, but the strategic map is real time.  I think I will pass,  I just
don't need any clickfest games disguised as strategy.  And from what little
I've read, the AI quite possibly cheats big time.
Spellforce 2 European vs. US version differences?25 Apr 2006 22:24 GMT3
Other than the fact that the european version is protected with
Starforce, are there any differences in-game on the two versions?
For example, Indigo Prophecy is the US version of the european
adventure game Fahrenheit something, and although the game was fairly
Ubisoft drops Starforce...including from Homm V23 Apr 2006 12:22 GMT19

Still dunno if I will get it, since the developer's previous games didn't do
much for me, but if the reviews are good I will at least consider it, while
if it had Starforce it was definitely a no buy.

Back to GGWaW21 Apr 2006 01:47 GMT61
After playing a bit with the SC2 demo, I decided to go back to Gary
Grigsby's World at War that I hadn't played for a while - actually I had
never played a scenario to the end. As many have pointed out, GGWaW is
more complex than SC2, and of course the map covers the whole World.

Finishing first scenario on HOMM519 Apr 2006 01:07 GMT8
On normal, it says (I think) all you have to do is find a certain
castle and free Isabel.
I do that and Isabel says we must fight on.  Then we get creamed by a
huge stack.
RTW:  Where the hells Ravenna in the tutorial?18 Apr 2006 23:52 GMT25
I'm playing the tutorial to the end for further practice with the game
mechanics, but have hit a snag.  I keep getting Senate missions to blockade
Ravenna.  Well, I sure as hell know where Ravenna is (northeast coast of
Adriatic), but all I can find in the game is some kind of ...

Does Galciv2 develop too slowly?18 Apr 2006 15:55 GMT17
I realize that most of the Civ type games are this way.
But on my first long Galciv II game, it seems to take forever to have
the technology to do anything useful.  Like going after other civs.
I realize that you can ramp up the tech rate at the beginning and I
