In the docs for Rome: Total War it says that you can play other factions than just the Roman ones... Is there some secret to unlocking those factions to play them because all I see when I start a campaign is the 3 Roman ones?

I am playing RTW 1.2. A funny thing happened yesterday...I was a attacking force against a city and was using my Orangers to pound the city walls, when by mistake , I pressed the "Withdraw" button....I then pressed the "Halt Command" button but funnily the Oranger crew were

| Bought GalCiv used, no serial | 29 Aug 2005 00:14 GMT | 8 |
So, I spotted a baggie with a used copy of GalCiv on sale at a local EB. CD and manual for $9.99. Perfect price to give it a try, and it's not like I had a shortage of game boxes at home. So, I bought it and came home. Problem is, it's asking for a serial

I purchased RTW several months ago and waited to install it until after upgrading my computer, which I did recently. I just installed RTW today and have encountered several problems trying to get the game started. For example, when I drag my cursor across the opening menu

"Sure," I said. "We'll have to go after it's already dark, though. I don't w ant anyone to see you." "Oh, that," Elliot said. He bent down to get a bottle of water out of his re frigerator. "The production company thinks we ought to branch out into other

One of my aims once I've mastered VS is to create a 'village' game with an interface (& villager windows) similar to Rollercoaster Tycoon(but using my own coding, of course!). Does anyone have any tips they can offer, like a good place to get a graphics utility, etc?

| Europa Universalis: vassalization? | 26 Aug 2005 09:46 GMT | 14 |
Here's a question about vassalization in Europa Universalis: If I understand correctly, if you have an alliance, the same religion (and royal marriage?), and relationship is +190 or +200, you can propose to your ally to become your vassal. The problem is, they

I just started playing RTW on my laptop and notice that the campaign map grass is EXTREMELY dark if not black. The battles seem fine and I can see the trees and marble and lumber and trade wagons, etc. -- just not the grass or roads. In some areas, if I

| Taking the click fest out of real time strategy | 24 Aug 2005 01:43 GMT | 3 |
Real-time strategy used to be a click fest, a mouse fight. Not anymore. With the addition of speech recognition to scripting, I can play a 5 1/2 hour game of Age of Empires Conquerors with no sweat. If you can do it and you enjoy real-time strategy without the click
