Thanks for the help with dos box, however it still aint working. It looks like it will start, the screen goes black and then it says "DOS/4GW fatal error (1004): syntax is DOS4GW <executable.xxx>" Any ideas?? Does this mean its fudged n i wont be able to play it?

I recently found constructor hiding under my desk the other day and really fancied playing on it. However, becuase its a silly dos game it wont seem to work on XP. I found a patch that will allow it to work on 95 but not XP. Anyone any idea on how to get it working on XP??

I've noticed a lot of people here recommending HOMM 3 to those asking for newbie games. However, when I checked Gamespot, it listed the game as difficult. Did the expansions allow you to keep the campaign setttings at Easy or even Idiot Mode? :)

I found this old favorite sitting on a shelf in my room. I am trying to get it to run on my XP Home edition. Has anybody had any luck with this DOS game? I see DOS4GW.exe in it's folder, so assume it wants to use that?
