RTS,FPS,TBS gives me virtual PBS!31 Aug 2004 15:24 GMT10
I have noticed that over the past 6 months or so, my attitues to RTS
games have changed somewhat. Back in the days of Warcraft and Warcraft
2, you would find me taking every expansion point, pumping out units
to the max to attack and harrass the enemy. I remember one game of
OT: Game Box Nostalgia (very long and rambling)30 Aug 2004 23:38 GMT57
I live in a community where once a year we open up the gates and residents
hold one massive Garage Sale that attracts people from all over the area.
It's a fun time; half-social event, half yard sale, and it brings a lot of
neighbors together into some fun and provocative ...
good strategy war games?30 Aug 2004 20:25 GMT12
any good strategy war games with tanks preferably, like sudden strike,
closecombat, blitzkrieg. Rise of nations was pretty good but after the
gunpower age it just gets stupid

Didn't see it mentioned here, but PopTop and Gathering released a free

LOTR329 Aug 2004 18:26 GMT4
Well it finally came down in price enough for me to buy it, despite
worries about the "real time" elements - but it's gone back. I should
have known when I read in the manual that "your attention is a vital
resource in this game" that it was doomed. Not only is it continuous
Warhmmaer 40k Dawn of War28 Aug 2004 18:16 GMT8
The public beta was released yesterday on Fileplanet. I played
a few games today and its not bad. The public lobby interface
of Gamespy needs a lot of tuning and the game can take a
while to launch but its good fun afterwards. More later as I play
Rome Total War28 Aug 2004 00:59 GMT27
Just seen a release date of Sept 10th for Rome Total War, anyone else
heard anything similar?
I didn't think it was due until later in the year.
Port Royale 2?28 Aug 2004 00:30 GMT7
I never heard of the first one -- it seems interesting -- and coming out in
2 weeks.

Fantasy Strategy Games27 Aug 2004 19:15 GMT15
I saw a thread started by Michael Vondung asking if there were any fantasy
games coming up. I almosty replied to him, but then thought it best not to
hijack his thread and started a new one.
We've been considering doing a fantasy version of our historic strategy
German demo of Medieval Lords is out.27 Aug 2004 14:57 GMT3
The German demo of Medieval Lords was released today. The game hits the
shelves tomorrow, but the English version won't be released before
October (strange, I know). The demo is 215 MB large.

The "Rome: Total War" demo has been released. Haven't downloaded it
myself yet (ISDN), but figured some of you might be interested. First
impressions would be appreciated. :)

Warlords Battlecry 325 Aug 2004 05:42 GMT1
Looking through the manuals and google, I cannot seem to find an
answer to the following before I try it in Ironman mode. Since the
beginning of time, Mankind has asked these questions....
1. Does Moral attack bonus only apply within command radius?
