I own a lot of games that I did not finish.  Most current let downs
are deus ex 2 and warcraft 3 expansion.  I always feel that it is my
fault that i dont finish the games.  The reason:  I lost interest
because 1)another cool game came out and bought it and lost interest

I remeber playing M1 Tank Platoon 1 or 2 on my Atari St WAY BACK.
Loved it also a another called Team Yankie i think thats wahta it was
called more of an arcade game that one.

Got a kid across the road I'm trying to help out (me the IT pro he he) who
has a fairly new AMD 2400XP+ with 512Mb DDR, FX5200 vid card, DX8(?) & just
can't get a couple older games to work under NTFS. Here are the symptoms:

Boy anybody remember the days when ATI never made drivers and theones they
did were questionable at best,  These guys are now making driver like Mc
Donald's burgers so often,  i just downloaded the 4.2's,   Seems like it was
yesterday there were like 3.8's or whatever .  What gives ...

Is there anyone else here besides me that is pulling their hair out trying
to update to 1.20?
When I run Stardock, it shows that I have 1.13 installed, but that no

I don't know if any of you remember this game, but during the early to
mid 80's, there was a game written in Basic on the IBM PC AT.
Basically, you start on a planet, create ships, sent them to attack

This week Stardock will be releasing Galactic Civilizations 1.2.
Galactic Civilizations is a space based strategy game in which the player
takes on the role of leader of the government of Earth.

Secrets Of War is a game about being the best. You play in realtime against
all the other players that have signed up. In order to win you will have to
ally with others, and when they least expect it, turn around and stab them
in the back. You need to be smart, you need to think, ...

This is the best *attempt* at a good game I've seen in years, so I'm
trying to at least finish it once. Unfortunately, it's also the most
deeply flawed game I've seen in years - which makes finishing it a
real problem. So, what am I bitching about this time?

I have a ton of older games that I never got around to playing (more money than
time, back when I bought 'em, and slightly more time than money now). So I found
Malkari hiding on my shelf, and fired it up last night. Major errors ... the
tutorial won't run, giving off some kind of ...

I downloaded the demo and completed the tutorial, but a couple of very very
basic things weren't made clear to me.  The first was movement... I would
select the guy, click where I wanted him to go and it would show a path.
Then I'd end the turn.  Then I'd have to click him again, ...
