| AOWSM too much micromanagement? | 30 Aug 2003 02:41 GMT | 7 |
I was playing AOWSM for a while and it felt good in the beginning, but now micromanagement seems to kill the gameplay. It seems like read through dozen of messages, move dozen of stacks (mostly

| republic - quick take from me | 29 Aug 2003 17:24 GMT | 1 |
Ok bought republic today, not too sure what I think about it yet. It reminds me of the gangster games from hothouse/eidos that came out a few years ago. Now not many people got into those, but I enjoyed them.

Hi, I've played the excellent demo of this game and was wondering if anyone knows when it will be released in the UK? I've spoken to a spotty nerd at EB and he thinks it 'may' be out this coming Friday, any ideas? MTIA,

| General hints/tips for the gameplay of X-com? | 29 Aug 2003 14:38 GMT | 28 |
Well i managed to get the collector's edition of X-Com running just fine on my WinXP, AMD 2100 machine. It's still as good as every. I never did finish this game properly back in it's day. I could never shoot down enough UFOs and never had the money to build new bases. I

| What are the most popular RTS games now? | 29 Aug 2003 10:36 GMT | 3 |
I haven't played a game of Age of Empires Conquerors for a year now. I don't know what the most popular games are anymore. I played a little Age of Mythology and Warcraft III but can't get used to it. Is Rise of Nations recommended?

| Republic is unstable | 28 Aug 2003 20:16 GMT | 1 |
After I play, even though it's no longer on my task list or processes, my system acts like it's STILL on and goes into a big time slowdown. The fact that the game's process name is "Republic 7/28/03" or something like that, I get the impression this game's been rushed out the door. ...

This game is somewhat of an addon to AOW2. The most significant addition that makes it worthwhile to purchase the game for many is the random scenarios. This describes my experience with such a scenario. Other features of the game such as balance tweaking and new races are

| Is This a Good Deal? | 26 Aug 2003 16:46 GMT | 1 |
I was in Best Buy, and noticed a game bundle for $20.00. Apparently, it's the Jowood pack with War and Peace, Cultures 2, and Europa 1400. I don't remember any buzz on these games. War and Peace looked really cool.

| [Dominions] Magical research and the road to armageddon | 25 Aug 2003 00:52 GMT | 1 |
Been wanting to raise this for awhile - how do people feel about the way in which nations grow, expand, then probably fall due to the damage from magical wars? The Dominions style of a cycle of rise and fall is a commen enough
