NHL 2005 - Not sure what to think about the new "open ice" thingy...31 Aug 2004 19:29 GMT4
On the one hand, it would seem to play more like realistic hockey, but
on the other hand, it looks like it could turn the game into even more
of a shot-fest than it already is.
What I would REALLY like to see are more errant passes, shots off

I love the Olympics!30 Aug 2004 03:43 GMT8
It's great, I get to see all the steroid-addled men and women I crave,
enough to last me another four years.  Remember when the Olympics
meant something...
Logitech Gamepad Setup30 Aug 2004 02:52 GMT2
I have the Dual Action gamepad. Why, on games that don't allow you to remap
controls, does the analog stick takeover the function of the D-pad? I've had
gamepads in the past without analog sticks, and I'd like to use D-pad on the
Logitech the same way I used it on those other ...

Sports Games on the XBox20 Aug 2004 16:39 GMT3
I have recently got an Xbox and I was hoping you could point me in the
direction of some of the better sports games. I realise this is a PC sports
group but I suspect many of you have consoles these days, and I was hoping
for more insightful thoughts than I am likely to get from the ...

Group Help Please19 Aug 2004 20:06 GMT1
I am asking for anyone and everyone's advice regarding their
experience with PC gamers for the following sports/activities:
Fishing, Horse racing, and Boxing.  Recommendations (yea and nay) are
anxiously awaited. TIA much.
Maden 2005 Cut the crap.18 Aug 2004 23:09 GMT36
Once again we're given millions of worthless options (Create-a-Fan?) but all
I want to know is:
Does the computer opponent somehow manage to roar back / fall apart when
behind / ahead?
ESPN 2K5 simulated game boxscores?18 Aug 2004 11:50 GMT1
OK...posted this in an XBox related newsgroup, but got no answer...since
people here are actually talking about ESPN 2K5 here, I thought I'd give it
a shot.
I bought 2K5 used and it didn't have a manual...for that matter, for the $20
Tiger Woods 2004 and radeon 9800 pro problem17 Aug 2004 13:42 GMT1
Tiger Woods 2004 keeps booting out to desktop with my newly installed ATI Radeon 9800 Pro. NHL 2004 works ok but not Tiger.
I have the 4.3 catalyst drivers and tried the 4.7 as well.
Any advice, driver-wise, etc? I turned off fast-write as well.
Thanks
Saitek P880/P2500 and Madden - close but no cigar17 Aug 2004 07:01 GMT2
Well, based on the advice of some, i picked up a Saitek gamepad hoping it
would be good for Madden 2005. To see if it was any good, i loaded up Madden
2004. The analog sticks work well enough, although the 6 thumb buttons are a
little flimsy, but usable. This is where the good ole' ...
Dos Golf Game that I want to download16 Aug 2004 04:55 GMT5
I have been looking for a long time for a game, with dos-level
graphics, you start in a pro shop with a few menu options + types of
play, with about 8 different courses to go to, and 18 holes per
course, with pro players' standings in the game, but you have to play
