I have WinXp Home, so according to Microsoft I can't use Virtual PC 2007
(they require WinXP Pro).  And Virtual PC 2004 has disappeared...
So is it possible by some other means to run Microsoft Space Simulator (DOS
only) on Windows XP?

Sells at $29.99. The download is 672 megs. Installed the game and it seems
to run OK so far.
