I know this has been asked over'n'over but things are slow, previous lists
have gone over my servers' use-by-date and I'm bored with the current crop
of  what's being passed off as space sims..  Any suggestions?  Age doesn't
really matter, so long it can at least be played in DOSBox ...

I joined up the free trial, and was liking what I saw, until the tutorial
flew me right through the space station you start on, and then through the
planet that was orbiting it.
Quit almost immediately, not much a space sim when nothing is actually

Wouldn't mind trying it but... Impossible to access their website for
most of Sunday. Eventually managed it in the late afternoon, downloaded
the client and filled in my email details for a trial key... which has
not been sent. Thought I'd check their website to try again and ...

Retail versions have.
For what I know there are 2 version, the first and now a
Game of the year edition.

I played this game a long time ago, it had VGA graphics. It's like a
space colonization/conquest game. You take over planets and they
produce different kinds of spaceships based on (i think) your
technology level. The part I remember best is the battle screens. The
