Replaying Freespace..........29 Nov 2005 07:02 GMT2
I got sick of my current games and decided to reload Freelancer for
another go and it still strikes me as a VERY cool game. After I
finished it the first time I went onto EVE online. At the time EVE was
a pretty cool game, but as I play FL again I realize that it has a lot
Universal Combat a world apart question20 Nov 2005 18:14 GMT4
OK, firstly DS is the spawn of satan, beats up vending machines and is not a
pleasant person/happy camper.
That being said, is UCAWA a good game?
I like the game concept and frankly don't care if DS is a noxious person,
Freespace 2 Update18 Nov 2005 23:43 GMT8
While I was waiting for demo of X3 I checked on the Freespace Source Code
Project.
They have a new executable and it is STUNNING! This is still the best space
sim ever made!!!
Another Academic Fraud Uses Old Cover Up Technique18 Nov 2005 04:03 GMT19
Here's an academic fraud in Ireland that is using an old Derek Smart
technique to try and hide his academic fraud. He says that his dissertation
is secret. HAHAHAHA

PC Gamer Review of Universal Combat: A World Apart10 Nov 2005 14:52 GMT30
It looks like Mr. Smart's created world continues to be a splintered pile of
partially complete and unorganized pieces. A world apart only in its
overwhelming mediocrity.
Here's some quotes from the half page mini review, PC Gamer, December 2005,

Is There a PC Equivalent of the Mac EV Shareware Games?09 Nov 2005 18:16 GMT10
I used to be a Mac guy but have long since converted to the dark side.
On the Mac there was a great shareware game called Escape Velocity and
it's sequel EV-Override. Very simple stuff -- start small, explore the
galaxy, trade and deal to improve your ship, watch out for pirates and
X3 Reunion have autopilot for waypoints ??08 Nov 2005 23:58 GMT5
Just hope so. I hated trying to find my way arround. Findinf jump
gatesz and sh.t. Some things just need to be automated.
If its not in the game they can shove this game.
Homeworld2, Repairing multiple units?05 Nov 2005 04:25 GMT2
I read somewhere that it's possible to use a group of resource
collectors to repair a group of damaged ships. (using a selection box
or something)
It's not mentioned in the manual and I haven't been able to figure out
Space Rangers 205 Nov 2005 02:05 GMT10
I just read an excellent article in Computer Games magazine. They
rated it 4.5 out of 5 stars. Anybody playing it?

Finally got Homeworld 2.  :)02 Nov 2005 13:29 GMT3
After looking for a week I managed to get a used copy of Howmworld 2.
So far it seems like fun, but the difficulty sure ramps up quick. I
started one level with 60,000 resource points and a nice fleet and
still ran out of units and died.
Homeworld 202 Nov 2005 03:16 GMT3
I've been thinking about getting Homeworld 2.  Recently saw a lot of posts
on this group about Homeworld 2.  Seems to be scarce in places, but as I
live in the U.K., the game is still plentiful at budget prices at the
moment.
