I think I have got to the end of the third Campaign. I have to blow up a gate
that an alien race is using to come into this part of space (Hmm, why does
that sound famliar. I think its about time the writers came up with some new

Sounds and looks interesting.  Maybe some competition for the next X
iteration.  Do I get a sense of deja vu when I read about all the things

I recently reinstalled X-wing Alliance on my XP Home computer, and
although everything works fine in software render mode, whenever I use
the hardware render, the space back-drop/background clips all the other
polygons on the screen.  All the textures and the game work fine

Just watched the 230MB video of X3. New models look good and all that but as
far as a taster for the gameplay is concerned it has nothing. All it does is
show some of their funky new artwork. At the end it even has the same kind of

...someone really needs to liscence that 'Celestia' universe simulator and
design the ultimate Privateering game around it.  I mean, for crying out
loud, even the camera controls feel damn near perfect for piloting a ship of
sorts (in a non-Newtonian fashion).
