Gamepad throttle problem in I-War 230 Sep 2004 10:15 GMT3
I've just managed to pick up I-War 2 (yes, years old but still one of
the best-looking sims out there and looking like good fun so far) and
I'm having a problem setting up a Thrustmaster Dual Shock gamepad.
This pad uses the right hand joystick for throttle but I can't get it
-=Eve Online=- Update Upcoming Shiva Expansion26 Sep 2004 12:45 GMT3
After 30 days of crunching Shiva we have logged 9204 work hours. I'm
at 314 hours myself. We have the core functionality of Player Owned
Structures (Tentative real name is "Starbases") hammered down into
code, clearing out bugs and starting work on defensive structures.
Homeworld - I just bought it.26 Sep 2004 03:25 GMT8
I remember it got very good reviews 5 years ago, when I was playing
Starcraft and Air Warrior and X-Wing, but I never got around to getting
it, until this week.
Is anyone playing it online?  Not that I'm ready for that, I can't even
Like UC, but good?23 Sep 2004 09:00 GMT47
I love space sim games, but haven't been following the genre lately.
Are there any recent space sims out there that have:
- Open-ended gameplay, meaning that you can kinda go where you want,
when you want. Doesn't have to have COMPLETELY free roaming or be
Independence War Paper Models21 Sep 2004 08:31 GMT2
I've teamed up with Independence War fan Duncan Day to produce some
downloadable paper models of I-War ships, based on the original real-time
models and textures. If you've never seen paper models before then you'd be
surprised how good they look. They're distibuted as PDF files. ...
Why isn't this forum more active?20 Sep 2004 23:22 GMT54
It is because there aren't that many good space sim games or not that
many people play them?

Jumpgate - Worth coming back to???18 Sep 2004 09:25 GMT5
Ok, back in my old Jumpgate days, I basically left because EP2 was a
giant mess, after the game being delayed for like 9 months now. Plus
the JOSSH website took a dive for like 3 months back in 2003. I
finally came back to see the online numbers are still low because of

Starshatter reviews?13 Sep 2004 23:27 GMT2
I finally hard-wried my Thrustmaster RCS into my Saitek X-45, and
wanted to test the rig out...  Starshatter has captured my interest,
but I am not seeing a lot of reviews on the standard review sites.
IIRC, several people have given some brief opinions on it in this

Shin, Pixan?08 Sep 2004 00:21 GMT8
I can't work this out Shin. I have full upgrades, plus the Karanian
armour, but I can't cap Pixan for the life of me. As soon as I HJ in
(with cloaking on) I get slaughtered by the station defences. I'm down
to full alert and everything bleeding to death before I get within 50
