I'm not a console gamer, so I was not aware of this title until I heard
about it having been released as a port from the XBox. I only know it's
supposed to be a space sim/FPS hybrid (apparently you're able to run around
on the space stations you dock with in first person style), but ...

I recently tried to load up this game and I've encountered a weird
problem that I've not encountered before. Basically, the graphics
appear to be fine, however, the in cockpit text is all hosed. In the
menus the between mission ready room areas, and the mission briefings,

Freespace2 doesn't think I have a D3D capable vid card installed so can't
run the game. Anyone aware of a fix for this when using a 9800pro or am I
just SOL?
