| Fallout 3 - close but no cigar | 22 Nov 2008 12:38 GMT | 313 |
Fallout 3 is a good game. It's not exactly Fallout, and I would have preferred a different license so that an actual turn-based non-first-person Fallout 3 could have been made, but that's water under the bridge.

| FO3: Quests and locations | 22 Nov 2008 12:11 GMT | 13 |
Just a quick question regarding some of the buildings in the Wasteland. In my roaming I have come across numerous interesting buildings like the large satellite dishes and the numerous power stations and radio antenna. I have not come across any quests related to these yet and was ...

| Mines of Moria | 22 Nov 2008 11:32 GMT | 22 |
Although many probably know I thought I would pass on that Lord of the Rings Online: Mines of Moria is now live. Looking forward to it when I get home but I assume there will be much crashing or inability to logon to the server.

| Fallout3, my mini-review | 22 Nov 2008 01:27 GMT | 20 |
1. Combat is too fast for me without Vats, and stupid with Vats. I quess not playing FPS games at all really does make it hard to play them when I am forced to. 2. Other than that, everything is generally good enough for an RPG.

| Fallout 3 - First 1&1/2 hours (Long, Spoilers) | 21 Nov 2008 23:26 GMT | 68 |
Disclaimers: I do not like Oblivion much, but I did finish it, which means I must have liked it enough to play that far. I also liked all the previous Fallouts, and in fact put Fallout 2 as my #1 game of all time. Yes I even liked the brotherhood of steel on the ps2 - which

Thief, Far Cry, Bioshock, Fallout 3.. the scenario is almost always the same: you are spotted by an enemy and then you go hide. The enemy comes to your location, doesn't see you, looks around for a bit, then leaves, returning to its post or patrol while also resetting its

| FO3 Perks | 20 Nov 2008 12:16 GMT | 11 |
Is the Perk where you get 1 point to allocate to a SPECIAL trait worth taking over a Perk that gives you 5 skill points each to 2 skills? What happens when you have more ranks of a certain Perk? For instance, I have 2 ranks of Thief perk. Do you get a bonus by reaching a certain

| Fallout 3 is not Fallout (but it isn't Obliviout either) | 20 Nov 2008 03:34 GMT | 144 |
I think I've played long enough to say it's not Fallout. I'd say it's far less Fallout than the PS2 game Brotherhood of Steel was. If you are a 'burning gem of hatred' you won't like it. If you are expecting Fallout, don't buy it. The mechanics are totally different, the

| Finished Fallout for the first time. | 19 Nov 2008 17:15 GMT | 5 |
I probably only got about 1/3 of the side quests, but I was max level playing on normal, and I had long ago gotten sick of scrounging. I was a bit disappointed you can't keep playing after you finish. My favorite part of the game so far was probably when I found Herald and

| FO3: I wish I could lean | 19 Nov 2008 16:36 GMT | 10 |
I know I can zoom out to 3rd person to look around corners, but to me, that's just outright cheating. I wish FO3 had a lean feature so I could lean around corners in first person.
