Newb: BG on widescreen monitor - ok?30 Oct 2007 22:01 GMT28
I got BG (4 in 1 pack) and love it.  I now want to upgrade my PC.
Can anyone recommend what components to choose for a new games PC?
I'm looking to get a top-spec machine, but not *the* best machine
ever
Old school RPG recommendation30 Oct 2007 12:58 GMT14
For those of you who find that Oblivion is just a plain boring
worksheet of eye-candy junk and Neverwinter Night 2 is a suicidal
buggy roller coaster, here is one old school type of RPG game that I
highly recommend to you:
Do any LCD monitors handle darker games OK?30 Oct 2007 08:01 GMT10
I'm not sure if this is the best newsgroup to ask this.
I wonder what people think about LCD displays with the darker games. I like
to dim the lights and play 3D dungeon crawls. I like games like Arx, Thief,
Ultima Underworld, Oblivion, Morrowind, System Shock, etc. I currently ...
Fable: TLC unarmed comat30 Oct 2007 02:06 GMT2
Do Speed and Multi Strike affect unarmed combat in Fable?
Thanks.

3000 Lurkers Agree With Every Post I Make30 Oct 2007 01:29 GMT7
I think Nostro was asking about lurker-to-post ratios, so I thought I'd
offer this statistic.  And, if you think I'm wrong, well, 3000 people
think *you're* wrong.

The Witcher29 Oct 2007 01:00 GMT15
I'm surprised to see no conversation about The Witcher in here well apart
form one post.  Got it last Thursday. So far I'm enjoying it.  It's not a
great RPG but it's enjoyable.  I like the world and the main character a
lot.
Airborne $35 at game store27 Oct 2007 22:57 GMT5
And it ain't even Christmas. I offered them
$20, but got the usual jargon about 8 to 10
months before the price would drop. Hell,
it just dropped $15 in 2 weeks.
BG, NWN, IWD - buying advice sought27 Oct 2007 18:23 GMT55
Which should I buy?  Either these 3:
Baldur's Gate (4 games in 1) package
Neverwinter Nights (incl 2 expansions) package
Icewind Dale (incl 1 expansion and IWD 2)
This newsgroup is as dead as the True CRPG genre...27 Oct 2007 15:23 GMT51
5 or 6 posters who reply to each other (you could do better using a
mailing list...), an occasional newbie or troll who drifts away
immediately, and 4,000,000 spammers.
I guess not having anything to talk about for years at a time takes a
Baldurs Gate 2 T Shirt27 Oct 2007 08:54 GMT3
I was lucky enough to get a Baldurs Gate 2 T shirt when I bought the
game all those years back. I've never seen one on Ebay so I have no idea
how rare or common they are.
Are they worth anything ?
Zelda Newbie Questions27 Oct 2007 03:18 GMT2
I'm a complete Zelda newbie so some of the questions I'm going to ask
may be obvious. I picked up a GBA to play the game, and am  currently
playing Zelda - A Link from the Past. I'm wondering is some of my
confusion about the game mechanics due to the fact I've never played
Hellgate: London - a Massively Single Player Online Game?26 Oct 2007 23:38 GMT44
Hellgate: London seems to be designed like World of Warcraft and other
MMOs -- but for a single player. (Yes, I know about multiplayer in the
game.)
I wish Blizzard would make an offline version of World of Warcraft,
I've lost my Dungeon Siege 1 Disk 2, the green one, but I still have Disk 1.  Can I install on my computer and how would I?25 Oct 2007 10:15 GMT1
I was wondering if anyone knew of a way to install the game without
disk 2.  Can anyone help me?

Guild Wars with henchmen only24 Oct 2007 17:35 GMT13
I just finished the Prophecies campaign of Guild Wars playing only
with henchmen. Quite a fun romp and I was surprised at how good the
henchmen played. It's just a matter of learning what they will do and
working around their few faults. I played as a Warrior/Monk and
