OK - its that time again - when I buy another RPG to keep me quiet.
So I have played:
- Ultima Series (including Underwords) - Loved them
- Baldurs Gate I/II - Loved them

I'm getting a new PC, so I'm looking forward to playing DS as it was
intended to play.

My party just can't defeat the spell-casting wood sprites in the Ratkin Tree
area.  I think I just need to get additional experiences to level up.  I
want to do the retro dungeon in the Northen Wilderness.  I've touched the 6
symbols on the trees.  Now I need a SHORT STAFF to put on ...

Despite the disaster of Ultima IX: Ascension, I'm looking forward to it.
Ultima IX tried stuff well ahead of its time, and was over its head - now

Has anyone managed to get any of the Ultima series working under XP? I have
the Ultima collection and have just bought an old version of Ultima
Underworlds - however so far I have been unable to get them working under

I finally got Ultima:Ascension and am running it on a 2.7P4, 512 Meg
dual channel DDR2700 and Radeon 7200. The game runs pretty smooth at
1024x768x32 and looks quite good. Actually, it looks amazing when
considering its 1999 release date.
