New LCD Monitor30 Dec 2005 04:21 GMT28
Hey gang,
I just treated myself to a Christmas present. I have been wanting to get an
lcd monitor for some time now, and my old Sony 19" crt finally started to
bite the bullet. It would kick into power saving mode on it's own, and was

The Joy of SEAD29 Dec 2005 04:18 GMT9
This is a debrief of a two ship A10 assault against an S300 SAM site in
Flaming Cliffs. I often will do a bit of a write-up after memorable
multiplayer missions and if people enjoy reading them then I'll post one
here occassionally. If not then I won't :-)
Best modern military fight simulator???28 Dec 2005 08:46 GMT18
I've been flying a lot with Jane's USAF.
Superb graphics, realistic plane movements and flap + terrain details!
I really love this simulator, but I want to try something new.
Does any-one of you guys (and girls, sorry!) know a modern military flight
Lockon FC Dynamic campaign?27 Dec 2005 23:20 GMT3
I was looking for some A10 missions and came across a guy named Ross
McGregor that was working on a dynamic campaign for Lockon.  Not sure if he
gave up but all I can find is talk about how great it's looking but this was
from March 04.  Anyone hear or know anything? (I know this ...
TIR4 and LOMAC 1.2... cockpit immersion takes a huge step forward?27 Dec 2005 00:30 GMT4

I'm used to being disappointed by LOMAC, but every now and then I see
something which reminds me how exciting sims used to be, back when half
the fun was imagining what might eventually be possible.
Secret Weapons of the Luftwaffe26 Dec 2005 12:15 GMT14
Does anyone know where I can get this game? I've looked everywhere and there doesn't seem to be any abandonware sites that have the files for it. I love flight sims and SWOTL looks like a great game despite it's age. Thanks

LOMAC vs LOMAC Gold21 Dec 2005 23:37 GMT6
Today at Best Buy, I came across a sim called LOMAC Gold (or Gold
Edition - something like that) - as opposed to the original LOMAC.  A
brief look at its features indicated that there were more campaigns,
more planes, etc than in the original out-of-the-box LOMAC.
Low resolution cockpit for Falcon SuperPak?21 Dec 2005 20:15 GMT1
Dear Simmers,
last week I finally got my hands on a rig that seems to be able to run
Falcon at a reasonable frame rate. So after a long pause I decided to give
it another try - now with SuperPak 4.2. This patch feels and looks really
