LOMAC Flaming Cliffs beta-testing ended....31 Jan 2005 23:54 GMT17
I was wondering why there so little traffic about this addon. Is there
no interest whatsoever? Supposedly it corrects many of the radar bugs of
LOMAC and introduces an advanced flightmodel for the Su25. Many bugfixes
throughout. Online distribution only...
OT: Four Button Mouse... ARRRGGGHHH!31 Jan 2005 23:25 GMT5
Alright, I have a Microsoft four-button mouse (actually five with
mouse-wheel button). I like how it feels and responds, but I don't need the
side buttons. Not only that, they are ultra sensitive and I keep clicking
them by accident while browsing the internet and it ...
FS2K4 performance and hardware dilemma 31 Jan 2005 14:16 GMT9
Hi there simmers,
I am pretty happy with FS2K4 on my gaming rig right now, but as time passes
and I hear all those kids around me with faster machines, I wonder what
would be a reasonable next purchase. I haven't bought anything for months,

Janes' USAF no run after SP2?30 Jan 2005 17:00 GMT2
Hi, All,
I cranked Jane's USAF up just recently for the first time in months, and there is no
correct HUD, almost random placement of numbers, weird mouse behavior, and my Dell
went into overdrive on the fan, so the thing must have gone nuts on heat.
My final puter upgrade decision - Finally!!30 Jan 2005 05:48 GMT26
Ok gang, I finally did it!
With some last minute mind changing once again, I have ordered the
components.
Below is what I decided to go with:
FS2004 - Which video/display settings tax the computer system the most?30 Jan 2005 04:07 GMT5
Does anyone have any tips on what video/display settings tax the
computer system the most in FS2004? I recently moved up to a new system
and I am still encountering same stuttering and slow downs when flying.
Here are the relevant parts of my new system.
DVI vs Analog28 Jan 2005 23:17 GMT5
I just got a Dell 2001FP LCD monitor and I was wondering if there was
a noticeable difference in the display quality of DVI vs analog inputs
for gaming. Thanks.

Seeking recommendation - Modern Fighter Sim28 Jan 2005 21:06 GMT20
Years ago, I played Jane's USN Fighters, and really enjoyed it.  Later,
I purchased Falcon 4.0, and found it to be really immersive, but not
stable on my computer.  I recently bought a new computer, and Falcon 4.0
is still not stable (4.0 + 1.08 patch plus RP 5).
F4, lol28 Jan 2005 17:36 GMT11
Haven't messed with F4 since the eFalcon days.  What really turned me off
to the game at that time, was all the bickering going on between eFalcon and
the RP team.  So, few years later, go to the F4 forum at
frugals.................lol, different team names, same scene it seems.

OT - Terrorists headed to Boston?27 Jan 2005 20:48 GMT21
I know , I know, these type of posts can get out of hand and old here -  I
figure I am allowed at least one OT  post every now and then. :)
Just saw on the news, the FBI has warned authorities in Boston, that they
have been contacted with pictures of 4 men, smuggled in through ...
1960's Transatlantic Flights27 Jan 2005 19:39 GMT2
Anyone know what type of Navigation system was used circa 1967 for
transaltantic B707 flights?   Where there VOR's, LORAN or other radio
beacons available across the Atlantic.  Or was it all just dead reckoning?
Thanks,
