'Copter flight-simulations?30 Jul 2004 14:29 GMT8
After looking into the price of obtaining a 'copter licence(!), I'm
looking for a decent rotary-wing (ie helicopter) simulation. I've
didn't mind FS2000Pro when it was released, but I mainly flew
fixed-wing. Currently I have an MS Prec. Pro. joystick (wanders

Strike Fighters30 Jul 2004 00:43 GMT21
I just bought the 'game' strike fighters from walmart for $5.99.
The reason that I put game in quotes above was that imho, calling it a game
is just wrong. For me, it is nothing more than a model viewer. I checked on
the simhq forums and there are tons of great aircraft, but they ...
OT: B-52 misses airshow target 29 Jul 2004 07:17 GMT5
Adds a whole new dimension to the term "precision bombing". Fortunately no
casualties this time, though the Farnborough Airshow attracts a large
concentration of the world's aerospace people, so someone's reputation may
suffer a little.

F-8 Crusader ever in a flight sim?? 28 Jul 2004 22:36 GMT12
Last night I rewatched an Anime title in my collection I haven't takn the
time to look at in years called AREA-88.  The first act has the hero flying an
F-8 Crusader.  Watching this made me wonder if there was ever (or is there
currently) a flight sim that contains the F-8.

X800 PRO vs. X800 XT ?28 Jul 2004 16:16 GMT18
So what is the big difference between the two? I mean will there really be a
noticeable difference in speeds? I'm wondering because I picked up my Pro
just recently, and although it is an improvement over my 9700 Pro I don't
see a significant difference yet. But I haven't done any ...

Can anyone suggest the latest and best Glide wrapper for the ATI Radeon
cards? In particular I have an X800 pro, but would like to get back into
Longbow 2. I know it looks 10 times better with Glide than with Direct3D
patch. Any help is greatly appreciated.
