I just bought the saitek x45 and went on installing my old and well used
falcon4 cd. Now guess what! The cd is scratched and I cant install from it.
I know microprose have sold the project so i dont think i can get a new cd

I have been playing the demo for about two hours. I have figured out how to
eject and I am getting real good at it Control-E.
I can't for the life of me get my cannon or weapons selected let alone
"Locked On" to a target. I have gone through the menus and even resorted to

I can't trim elevators or ailerons using either HOTAS or keyboard.
This used to work perfect with the original IL2.
Rudder trim works OK.
I have latest patch but still have this problem. Help!

I downloaded the "lock_on.exe" file and when I tried to execute it
went to an extraction menu.  After opting to run, it began extracting,
and once completed, it said "Deleting tempory files" and closed the
menu.  I looked everywhere on my HD and no installation found.  I

Decided to give MIG alley a try again. Had it working once before with this
XP operating system and the BDG .80 patch. However now, while loads ok and
runs using the retail version and the .123 patch, less joystick of course,
the game crashes back to desk top as soon a mission ...

spectacular elevation goof near Kamarang, Guyana (SYKM) using the default
scenery. There is an incredible spire that extends to an elevation of
+61,000 ft, and right next to it an even deeper sinkhole that goes down ...

Finally got this thing working on W2k at 1024-768 and it looks and
feels damn near like a girl!!%^) Man, what a difference a pentium4 makes
compared to a pentiumI.  EAW is all that and a bag of chips........

Got that sound bug going when running the demo
the docs say to turn off hardware acceleration for direct x but there
is no option box to turn this off inside the game

I just read somewhere (can't find it now) that Microsoft is no longer
producing its sidewinder line of gaming peripherals. Can anyone confirm
this? That sucks because they actually make an excellent all-in-one joystick
(throttle, twist-rudder, flight stick, and FFB if you want it). ...
