FA: Quest for Glory Series by Sierra01 May 2006 00:34 GMT7
I apologize if it is a breach of etiquette to post an advertisement for
my auctions to this group.  I looked for an FAQ, but was unable to find
one, so I figured I'd go ahead and post, in case any of you are
interested in these classic (early 1990s) adventure/rpg games by

Return to Zork Talking28 Apr 2006 16:39 GMT2
Hi, Im playing return to zork and have a quick question. When I talk to
people the boxes on the right or left come up  ie interested, friendly,
bored, um and the rest - when they speak it seem like its all at once
because if I hit one of these buttons for the most it makes no change ...
I've played Largo Winch28 Apr 2006 04:39 GMT1
As the subject says, I've played a game called Largo Winch. I didn't
recognize the name when I saw it at eBay (I bought Dark Side of the
Moon, so I took a look at the other game auctions from the same
seller) but after reading the review at Quandary I entered the
Dreamfall any better than TLJ?28 Apr 2006 04:27 GMT1
I hated the protagonist from The Longest Journey, she was a whiney
little thing with far too much angst. It basically turned me off to the
whole game and I never finished. Is Dreamfall any better in that regard?

Daemonica any views on the game? Adventure or RPG?

Myst IV (Revelation) question18 Apr 2006 18:39 GMT125
I bought Myst Revelation DVD Rom version yesterday. Its a used copy so
was quite cheap. It even includes Myst Exile which I already have but
thats ok.The game runs ok with a little hesitation from when pointing to
where I am going, probably because of large amounts of data being

Jenny, do you know of a saved games site?. I thought you had a URL for
one before. I am playing ROTH again with DOS box, which lists it as
playable, but not fully supported. The up and down arrow keys are used
to get the character around, but its hard to control the character on
Keepsake - TAC version plays without CD in drive13 Apr 2006 15:34 GMT5
I bought the Adventure Company version of Keepsake today.
It plays without the CD in the drive. No StarForce or SafeDisc.
Greatest Adventure Tale Ever Told12 Apr 2006 15:15 GMT18
My selection for the best adventure story ever told is Grim Fandango, hands
down. Over the King's Quest Series, over the Monkey Isle Series, even over
IMHO the best Infocom text stories, including the Planetfall series and The
Witness.
In Memoriam - does the server still exist?12 Apr 2006 15:13 GMT3
I picked up the above for a couple of quid the other day, having read the JA+
review, which was more than favourable. However, I have never been able
(either on my Mac, or PC) to create an account because it complains it cannot
communicate with the server or that I may not be ...
Case of the Silver Earing10 Apr 2006 02:42 GMT5
I dont suppose there is anyone playing this at the moment who still has a
saved game at the point were Holmes finishes what he has to do in the house
and meets up with Watson? Watson has completed his tasks but Holmes insists
he hasn`t examined everything (or some such). I`ve had a ...
Graduate from Nancy Drew to ??05 Apr 2006 22:19 GMT9
My daughter and I have really liked playing the entire series of
Nancy Drew games...but now we are at a point where we'd like to try an
adventure that's a bit longer on the story line, and would occupy us
for more than 3 brief evenings of playing time.
