Old DOS Games27 Feb 2006 02:32 GMT18
I recently broke out my old Dell XPS P100C, running Win 95, etc.  Right now,

Trek Judgment Rites on CD and Call of Cthulhu-Shadow of  the Comet.  These 3
were my favorites -  along with games such as:
Spooks26 Feb 2006 22:44 GMT7
No, not related to the BBC series at all, I'm afraid. But Spooks is a

is spending a day at the a day at the Carnage-Val when unusual events
happen. I liked the feel, I liked the puzzles (simple, but fun), I

Is there a preferred resolution for playing this game?  I'm still

Scratches22 Feb 2006 23:04 GMT1

Stuck in Fahrenheit20 Feb 2006 16:18 GMT5
I've reached the level when the hero remembers his childhood at the
military camp and he has to climb over the grid.
However, the mouse gestures involved are too tricky for me (I'm over 40
and my wrist joints are quite stiff and painful) and I can't climb more

Atlantis 3 - The New World
Does anyone remember this adventure?
I'm on the second island in the Paleolithic Age and have despatched the
tiger into the quicksand. In order to reach the third island I'm supposed to
Hey Paula18 Feb 2006 00:30 GMT13
Hey Paula, I used to like that song written in the 1960's. it dates me
:). Did your mother name you after that song? . I didn't realize till
now when I looked it up, that the singers real names were Jill and Ray
but promoters thought that Paul and Paula sounded better.
Describe to me the Nancy Drew games17 Feb 2006 00:42 GMT3
I know they're for kids, but I don't mind. But how do the games play?
They are first person perspective from what I can surmise, but is it
all just a bunch of static rendered settings and you click all over the
screen? Or is there some questioning and answering and more varied
Microsoft Adventure on 5 1/4 diskette copy-protected16 Feb 2006 15:10 GMT7
Hi, I have a 5 1/4" diskette of the Microsoft Adventure game. Apparently
ported by Gordon Letwin from the Crowther/Woods version.
But it is copy-protected. I have been looking around for an utility that
could make a backup copy of it - preferably to a 3 1/2" diskette - lots of

What for you, are the best things about PC adventure gaming ?15 Feb 2006 01:37 GMT18
What for you, have always been the best (serious or humorous) thing/s

Hi gang,
So I finally found a copy of BG&E and bought it thinking I had
everything it took, oodles of mem, better than needed graphics card,
