EA - Case of the Rose Tattoo30 Nov 2005 12:45 GMT2
I have a classic EA game in my collection ... Sherlock Holmes and the Case
of the Rose Tattoo. I can't install this game on Windows XP. Has anyone been
able to find a workaround ?
Thx,
political games29 Nov 2005 19:22 GMT2
Not trying to start a political debate here, but I was just curious --
while there are (obviously) a huge number of games revolving around
becoming a mighty warrior a la Dungeons and Dragons, are there any
games out there with notably pacifist messages? The only one that

Syberia 1 & 2 Collection available
The Syberia 1 & 2: Collector's DVD Edition is available online at
GoGamer.com for $39.90.  The site lists it as a "full english import
edition".  I have yet to see this elsewhere so far.
Myst V Demo - save game?28 Nov 2005 19:15 GMT2
Tried this demo - can't see how to save or load.  I'll be damned if I'm
gonna listen to that dude talk to me everytime twice before I get up the
ladder to that kooky domed building.  Not only that, but I can't cut out of
the scene, as far as I can tell.
What PC games would you like seeing made into films?28 Nov 2005 10:07 GMT11
What admired PC adventure games do you think have the best potential to
be made into either any cool live action or computer animated films
(that haven't yet been made) and who would you like seeing play (or
voice) any game character/s in such a film.
Re: 'Gun' the game28 Nov 2005 05:07 GMT1
Technically an FPS, but more of an adventure than many plain adventure
games. Not as pretty as some games out there but it holds up well. I've had
tons of fun playing this though, riding horses and shooting, trampling
victims by horse, hunting, gold mining.....proper spaghetti ...

Does point of origin matter?26 Nov 2005 10:41 GMT2
I am looking at a game released in England but not yet available in
the US.  Does the line in the eBay item description "Sous-format:  PAL
(UK Standard)" mean anything?  Will this game play on both sides of
the Atlantic?  This is not the Russian version that has been flooding
Game Collecting - what's the point?26 Nov 2005 06:02 GMT13
Why does anyone collect PC games?  It seems to me that the only
win/win situation is when you have an unopened game and sell it to
someone who can't test it. Systems are changing too fast.
Traitors Gate - program needs at least 3 MB to play error24 Nov 2005 21:05 GMT2
A forum member over at Gameboomers is having trouble playing Traitors Gate
on a newer computer. When they try to play the game, they get the message:
" This program requires at least 3MB of free virtual memory to run."
I've suggested Inferno's tweak for Safecracker, which can be ...
Syberia and Windows XP21 Nov 2005 22:23 GMT4
I played Syberia and Syberia 2 on my Windows 98 computer.  Now I have a
Vaio with P4 3.2 ghz processor and 512 mb of ram.  Syberia 2 breaks up
and the sound is bad.  Syberia 1 runs so slow the movement is
practically impercepbable.  Is this game just not compatible with XP?
I need some help...20 Nov 2005 21:12 GMT10
So, I hope someone out here has some answers that I need.
I'm playing a game called "Dracula's Castle," and I've been pretty
stumped on it for the last couple of weeks. I've gone over and over it
from the beginning. I've explored everywhere I can go, I've examined

Nathan's Second Chance18 Nov 2005 23:54 GMT2
A game I've been looking forward to for a while, Nathan's Second
Chance, has now been released. It's available as a free 7MB download
from http://www.upperorbit.com/nathan/
I've only played through the beginning, but this far it is very
Rikard - re: Nathan's Second Chance18 Nov 2005 22:53 GMT3
Thanks for the link. I downloaded and spent an hour or more playing
the game when my computer experienced a total crash. This happened
when all I had left to do was find an address - headed across the
street but stopped at the fence to take some more flowers. At this
