| Myst V - End of Ages / Supported OS maybe more than listed | 30 Sep 2005 19:43 GMT | 1 |
Myst V has just hit the shelves in my area so there may not be many playing it yet. I bought it without carefully reading the "Supported OS" listing and was pissed when I saw my Win98SE was not supported. Not only that but 512Meg memory was recommended and I have 256Meg. Hmmm, do ...

| Syberia 2 problem in Bink (bik) videos with Matrox G400 | 29 Sep 2005 11:55 GMT | 2 |
In the past I have played with Syberia adventure. All good. Now, with the same hardware (Pentium II, 512 MB Ram, Matrox G400 16 MB) I'm trying to play with Syberia 2. All good, except the movies (in bink format) that I can hear but not see, if not at times and in hopping

| fixing bad screensavers | 29 Sep 2005 02:05 GMT | 1 |
I installed some extra screensavers that weren't installed by default with my Mandrake 10.1 Powerpack. I was bored with the 10 or so screensavers that installed by default. The problem is that none of them work as screensavers, though I can see what they look like using the

| Indigo Prophecy demo--wtf? | 26 Sep 2005 23:25 GMT | 10 |
Playing the Indigo Prophecy demo. Using keyboard and mouse, what exactly is the 'Use' key? It doesn't list one in options when you try to set up the controls. Basically, all I seem to be able to do is walk around. It seems to cue me that there is something in my vicinity that ...

| "Impossible" game puzzles comment survey, specific Voyage ref. | 25 Sep 2005 20:17 GMT | 3 |
I just finished Voyage and would like to see what other readers in this group feel about it and similar games. Namely that some puzzles can't be solved by any logical process and some would be impossible for hearing impaired players. Let's take Voyage as an example.

| suggestions please | 19 Sep 2005 16:48 GMT | 5 |
I just finished Syberia and Syberia II and I really enjoyed these games. I don't like timed puzzles or very difficult ones like in the Myst series so I found this 2 part game very enjoyable. Can anyone suggest other games similar to this? I am an adult female running Windows XP.

I downloaded bone when it became available on friday night and have just completed it. I have to say that i am dissapointed in this game as i had been looking forward to it for ages. The puzzles (if you can call them that) are way too easy and the action sequences are pointless and ...

| Indie / Freeware Adventures | 16 Sep 2005 11:43 GMT | 18 |
Can you guys make any recommendations and/or links to some independent and/or freeware adventures in the Lucas Arts or old school Sierra style? I seem to recall that there are quite a few adventure-maker tools out there and have been out for a while so I'd be surprised if no

| Running RealMyst under XP Pro SP2 - missing Indeo codec | 16 Sep 2005 05:32 GMT | 2 |
As we're approaching the end of an adventuring era, I am collecting every Myst game in existence. I have just acquired RealMyst and am attempting to run it under a fully updated (with latest drivers) XP Pro. However, on initial running, it complains about a missing Indeo codec.
