Gabriel Knight storyline27 Sep 2004 19:07 GMT10
I just played GK3. I didn't think it was a good game, but I did like the
storyline. I'm interested in learning all about the plot from previous games
but I don't want to play them. Anyone know of a spoiler site that has a
detailed plot summary?

Grim fandango corrupt file27 Sep 2004 14:16 GMT10
I have the excellent grim fandango but have problems with sound in parts of
the game where I have to turn it off to stop the game crashing. I tried the
patch, installing it in different ways etc. I have narrowed the problem down
to a corrupt file  VOX0001.LAB on the first disc.  ...
DISCover Game System for adventure games?27 Sep 2004 02:03 GMT1
Has anyone seen this before?  http://www.discoverconsole.com/e3_disc_pr.htm
What do you all think about it for playing new adventure games as well as old
ones. I like the idea of dropping a cd in and playing it. But concerned about
older titles.
Dark Fall 2: Lights Out      MPG problem26 Sep 2004 20:23 GMT5
Has anyone else had problems with the .mpg files hanging within the game?
On my Win98SE, DX9 system, I can easily play the 1.mpg and 2.mpg files
with WindowsMediaPlayer or a QuikTimePlayer. However, these movies hang
within the game after the first few seconds of play. Eventually ...

Tex Murphy (UAKM) and XP--Help!22 Sep 2004 00:00 GMT5
I'm trying to run it under the 'compatibility mode' but I don't have a mouse
cursor and I'm not entirely sure I have sound either.  Is there an easy fix
or a complicated rig-a-ma-roll to get it to work?
Thanks for any input!

Point of Information Sought on Colossal Cave Text Adventure17 Sep 2004 04:23 GMT2
Revisiting one of my college years pasttimes, I've replaying the 550-point
version by Wolfgang Strobl (version 2.10, 8/14/1992). When you save game, you
are required to wait 30 minutes before restore and continuing play. The message
when you invoke save implies that someone with ...

coolest game over endings16 Sep 2004 11:39 GMT13
anyone noticed cool unexpected "game over" endings for games? some

which has monsters talking in a bar while you hang upside down from a
ceiling, or alone in the dark which has some monster dragging you
