NON-REVIEW: The Black Mirror (Non-review copyright 2004, Andrew Plotkin <erkyrath@eblong.com>) This week in Zarf's Culture Corner, since the game I'm reviewing is crap, I thought I'd try something different. You see, whenever I play an adventure

| Broken Sword II problem | 28 Jul 2004 19:22 GMT | 5 |
I'm near the end of Broken Sword II and am outside the pyramid trying to create a diversion for the guards. I resorted to a walkthrough that said to talk to the guards and then take the torch. The problem is that I can't take the torch. Nico keeps saying she can't think of any ...

| Sanitarium text speed | 28 Jul 2004 04:05 GMT | 2 |
Recently started playing Sanitarium, which I got from HOTU. I've got to Chapter 4 and come across an irritating problem. The text goes by far too fast to read. I don't know if this is because of the version (a cd-rip with no music and most of the voice-acting gone) or if it was a ...

| Myst and its sequels | 27 Jul 2004 20:22 GMT | 25 |
I have never played a Myst game. Mostly beacuse I've thought I'd find such solitary games boring. NPC interaction (or if not the interaction, the gereral existance of the NPCs) is generally one of the best things about the games I've liked. Myst-bashing was also a popular thing ...

| MYST | 25 Jul 2004 22:26 GMT | 6 |
I have three different version of Myst, the old one, the "Masterpiece Edition", and the "The Real Myst", that is supposed to be the best, but I cannot play it because it makes me sick looking at it. It seems to go too fast for my eyes and my stomach. Is any way to solve this ...

| help, please re selling "Softporn Adventure" for Apple ][ by On-Line systems | 24 Jul 2004 20:43 GMT | 1 |
In the midst of decluttering I found this game--the color, approximately square cover, the diskette, and an insert listing "other fine products by On-line systems." I know this was the precursor for Leisure Suit Larry and was sold for only a short time.
