Bye, bye LOTRO & MMO's31 Aug 2008 07:19 GMT29
I knew it was bound to happen. I enjoyed LOTRO, but it became too much
of an addiction and time sink. Great game though! I just don't have
the 3+ hours a day anymore, not with a full time job and 1 year old
son. Losing sleep + being grumpy over losing sleep = not good.
UK Video Game rating consultation31 Aug 2008 02:27 GMT3
To all from the UK, it might be worth putting your views forward before this
government of patronising IT phobic moron impose some (more) ridiculous
rules.

It's coming out next week. Let us know how it is - am on the fence on
it.
Tank Universal - Jolly good game on Steam for $1030 Aug 2008 02:47 GMT6
It's like a mix between Darwinia and Battlezone.  Good stuff.
There's a demo available, although there so far seems quite a bit more to
the game than the demo shows.
It's $17 if you buy from their website, but $10 on Steam. Yay!
Half-Life 2 Episode Pack (1 &2) $5 at CircuitCity29 Aug 2008 23:27 GMT2

Saints Row 2 to PC, too29 Aug 2008 22:40 GMT6
I like Saints Row more than GTA - Saints Row plays more like a PC game
than GTA ever did (aiming, etc.)
Nyaa ha haa ! Dell S2409W is here !29 Aug 2008 19:43 GMT3
I'm going 16:9 rapidly. Next is Sony BlueRay DVD - CD / RW.
All HDMI ports. Works great through my nVidia 8800 GTO going
DVI to HDMI converter, and then HDMI to HDMI straight cable.
Bright screen for TV viewing in native 1920 x 1050. The S2409W
Bioshock - does it get any better?28 Aug 2008 21:23 GMT12
I bought Bioshock, loved it, but then got to a level built around a
fishing dock/pier? There was a Big Brother roaming an area with a
little sister, and you could get under the "docks" (wooden platform)
and you had to defeat the Big Brother before moving on.
Hmm... bug in Crysis and CCC?26 Aug 2008 22:45 GMT8
At the end of 'Recovery' where you rescue the hostage I take out the
tanks and then nothing happens.  The next waypoint isn't triggered.
I've gone on despite this to see if it does get triggered, the next
level loads (Nomad) but still no waypoint on the map.  Played through a

Clear Skies 68% in PcGamer26 Aug 2008 17:51 GMT30
Bummer.  Those folk at PCGamer (UK) sure know how to ruin your weekend.
Down to some questionable design decisions, the loss of some of the
atmosphere of the first and some sections being impossibly hard
apparently...  ;-(

Doh moments in games!?26 Aug 2008 11:11 GMT37
I've always hated the fact that in Crysis I could never find dropped
guns in the long grass.  Played the good half of Crysis around half
dozen times, each time with the same moan.  Playing tonight and I
suddenly realise that the guns show up bright blue and white with the

Star Wars: Force Unleashed demo25 Aug 2008 15:49 GMT5
Although not yet available on the PC, this game might still make its way
there in a year or two. I tried the PS/3 version of the demo and here are my
impressions:
If i had to sum up the demo in one word, it would be: disappointing. The
