Last Friday I was browsing the game shelves and saw Portal was available
as a standalone box. I read the specs carefully and saw absolutely no
reference to Steam. It did say "Internet Connection Required" but that
could just be for authentication.

I was wondering if anyone knows if the version of Splinter Cell Chaos
Theory, which is now on Steam, still has the horrible DRM which supposedly
messed up gamers CD/DVD drives and caused other random problems. This was a
huge problem back when the game came out, and Ubisoft AFAIK ...

Any chance of it being released for the PC?
