Infernal and 3rd person vs 1st person view28 Feb 2007 23:12 GMT6
Anybody else bought a copy of this yet?
I got a copy (or rather my Wife did) for £24:99 from Tesco (of all
places). I hadn't even noticed that it had been released yet.
I've played about 30 mins of it. Pretty graphics with reasonable
Trusted Games Mags28 Feb 2007 19:33 GMT17
Reading some comments the Stalker thread brought this subject to mind.
Which games magazines do you trust?
The only one I used to trust was PCZone (a UK PC gaming magazine).  They've
slipped up a few times over the last couple of years though - the firs real

Command and Conquer: Renegade28 Feb 2007 13:16 GMT6
I was just reading a preview article about Command and Conquer 3:
Tiberium Wars. I never have liked isometric strategy games (except for
Dungeon Keeper 1 & 2) and can't see the attraction in it.
It did however, remind me of Renegade. I know a lot of hardcore C&C
MoH:PA don't remember getting stuck here before...28 Feb 2007 13:05 GMT5
    Hi, all,
Just making another pass through MoH Pacific Assault, but I ran into a
snag that I don't recall tripping me up my first time through.  I'm
hoping someone here has a clear enough recollection of this particular
nvidia vista drivers are crap28 Feb 2007 06:03 GMT6
Is anybody else encountering problems in games that use a hardware
mouse cursor with NVidia cards and Vista?  The mouse cursor is stuck
in the middle of the screen- the mouse works but the cursor icon
doesn't follow the mouse.  Going to a windowed mode solves this, but
Prey $14.95 at Target27 Feb 2007 18:36 GMT10
I was just at my local Target and on the clearance end cap where 4 copies of
Pray marked down to $14.95. It looked like the games had been marked down a
lot because there was about 6 price stickers under the last one.

is dual core being leapfrogged?27 Feb 2007 17:27 GMT11
I'm just wondering if dual core is being leapfrogged by quad cores?
Just look at how very few games actually support dual core
processors to any meaningful degree, and it makes you wonder, doesn't
it?  And yet companies like Valve, Crytek, and Ritual are working on
commanding a battle? -- single player27 Feb 2007 17:05 GMT3
What games offer the most interesting and least annoying battlefields?
I'm looking for single-player mode... thanks.

Personally, I've never tried Second Life, but you have to admire the
creativity of some of the community.

Help needed: Postal 2 fan mod "Eternal Damnation"26 Feb 2007 07:27 GMT7
some of you might know the FPS "Postal 2". A couple of fans developed a
mod/map based on this game and called it "Eternal Damnation".
I really like to play it, but currently I'm stuck in the subway level.
That is the level where you start at a subway station and you have to
Rob - 'The Mark'26 Feb 2007 02:02 GMT12
I see UK PCGamer gave this 21%  They said:
"The sound is terrible, echoing cheaply into dead environments.  The voice
acting is terrible, with lost children's presenters in place of military
tough guys.  The cutscenes are terrible, except for when they're rubbish
Another STALKER preview - sounds good, but summary is equivecol25 Feb 2007 21:27 GMT19

The article is very positive, but the summary seems to hold back from
praising it outright.

Turn on the damn lights!
Is this game any fun?
I hated playing Doom 3 in the dark.   Dark spots were OK, but not the
whole game.
