Hmmm. Good insofar as some annoying things about the first one have been sorted out. But it's very samey now ... I think the multiplayer is the real selling point here.

| Half-Life engine port on Mac: Why not? | 21 May 2004 23:35 GMT | 18 |
Does anybody recall why the Half-Life engine was never ported to the Mac? It's not like Mac users wouldn't like to play these kind of games. Quake, Unreal, and Halo were ported to name just a few. Darn, I want to get rid of my PC and can't because I got this HL

Ever since I bought the game a few years ago, I haven't been able to run Carmageddon 2 because of some unidentified error. It just wouldn't run at all. We bought a new computer recently and I hadn't installed my gamepad, and everything's been working great. Then, I

| Vice City crashes to white screen | 20 May 2004 15:12 GMT | 3 |
When I complete the "Rub Out" mission to kill the guy in the mansion, the screen goes white and doesn't recover. I've tried it six or seven times now, using different game saves. Any suggestions? Are there any mission-bypass cheats?

| F.E.A.R. | 20 May 2004 12:07 GMT | 4 |
Monolith has written a totally new engine, leaving Lithtech behind. F.E.A.R. will be the first game using the new engine. Doom 3 and Half Life 2 are going to be the early leaders but they have basically raised the standard that all games are going to have to start

After installing this game under Windows XP I discovered the keyboard never responded after starting the game. Then I found a patch for it and installed the patch (well, copied the files into the game directory).

| Need Dungeon Keeper 2 Tech Help | 20 May 2004 00:58 GMT | 19 |
Hey, just picked up DK2 for $1.99 USD at Kmart. Box didn't say anything about OS, but apparently this older game has trouble with XP. I patched it to what appears to be the latest version, 1.70. It crashes often, but I'm already hooked so I'm tolerating it. The extra

| Far Cry with PS3.0 patch at E3 | 19 May 2004 21:34 GMT | 6 |
A guy has posted about playing Far Cry with the PS 3.0 patch at E3. He has a couple of grainy screenshots taken with his PDA camera plus there is now a video his buddy took of the screen while he was trying it out.

Damn this needs some patching. Why are all the options screens in 800x600? Why are the game servers screens broken and therefore not able to be sorted in order of ping and in constant need of updating?

| E3 65,000 attendees | 19 May 2004 15:49 GMT | 3 |
I have a hard time believing gamers who actually wanted to get into show shelled out $300 for the badge. I went a few a years ago and paid $150. They keep raising the price to prevent the general public from getting in. Yeah, I know it's for the industry but if you have a business ...

Is anyone else totally in the dark during the first 'sneaky' level? Is there a brightness or gamma control somewhere that I have missed? This seems like a great game otherwise, so this is a bit frustrating...

| So you gonna pay $55-$60 for Doom3? | 19 May 2004 12:09 GMT | 40 |
EBGames lists it preorder for $55. Best Buy for $60. Seems someone in the game making process of Doom3 decided its going to cost $15-20 more than the average game cost. If it beats or equals FarCry gameplay, I'd say the cost is well worth
