Well, PC Zone has a 10-page preview this month. In it Gabe Newell says
that the fundamental reason for the delay was that they underestimated
the amount of work. This is probably the same quote as posted by The
Posting One recently.

Sounds pretty neat with some aspects that set it apart form other WWII
shooters.  The damage and health aspects sound much more realistic.

My system is more than capable of handling the game on maxed out graphics settins (aside from anistropic and anti-aliasing) which are both 0 and 1 respectively.
There always used to be coral under the water.  Now there are just a few weeds, the settings are still maxed, but still ...

So far all the reviews show that Radeon X800 (Pro or XT) is the best
card to run DX9 games like FarCry (or Halo) and newer games such as
BF:Vietnam or UT2K4 (averaging 90+ fps at 1600x1200 with 16xAF and
4xAA)

I've read a few posts here mentioning the fish in Far Cry and a friend
at work mentioned them as well. I've yet to see one, though.

I was just opening up my copy of the halflife plantium pack and started
playing and had fun. The grtpahics sucked though and when i wanted to play

Feel kind of dumb, but I'm stuck early on ... there's a beached ship
