Collapse ut2003 ng into ut?31 Dec 2006 17:16 GMT3
Given the lack of traffic, and the fact that ut2007 will be coming out
soon, perhaps it makes sense to do away with
alt.games.unreal.tournament2003 and just use
alt.games.unreal.tournament.
Sick of UT?29 Dec 2006 23:28 GMT10
Yep, I've played ONS in UT2004 since the day the game came out, but now
I have suddenly become sick of playing it. Good games are rare and teams
usually grossly unbalanced. There seems to to have been a recent massive
influx of abusive kids, continuous lame team-changers, idiots, ...
Bootleg copy24 Dec 2006 20:33 GMT13
A friend of mine has a server running ut2004. He really does not know
what he is doing and as I don't run such a server neither do I. Anyway
the question is, is there any way to stop players who have bootleg
copies playing on the server. More to the point he knows that there are
Installing under Linux17 Dec 2006 19:27 GMT12
Hey guys, could someone walk me through setting up a Linux install? I
copied the linux-installer.sh to my desktop but when I run it I dont
have permission to write to the ut2004 file. I dont understand
permissions so could someone show me the command line to set my
UT2004 DVD $10 at EBgames but does it include the level editor?15 Dec 2006 02:26 GMT1
Alright I just bought UT 2004 DVD from eb. But I really only bought it
cause the guy told me the level editor was included, I can't seem to
find it, wtf? Can I download it off the UT website?
Can't jump on vehicles13 Dec 2006 20:18 GMT7
Can someone tell me how to jump on a vehicle in Onslaught? I can get on
if there is a gunner seat (hellbender) by using the "use" key but I can
never seem to get on the manta.
Stupid UT99 update question11 Dec 2006 22:49 GMT28
I plan on makeing an updated cd  so that i can have an easy time installing
when ever my windows goes crappy
can i just replace the files on the GOTY cd with the newer versions off the
install? or will I always have to patch each time up to v 451 ?
Lokigames release of UT10 Dec 2006 20:14 GMT1
Did Lokigames actually release a Linux version of UT, or was it just the
installation files for the Win32 release? I've acquired a "real" copy of Q3A
for Linux (the tin box version w/Trent Reznor soundtrack), wouldn't mind
hunting down a Lokigames copy of UT if such an animal exists ...
Blimey!09 Dec 2006 03:14 GMT24
I don't post for like 6 years, and I still recognise people... Folk,
Highlandish, Walter Mitty
Anyway, hello to all those (who I know wont remember me anyway)! ;-)
Just a random thought!!
Problem!07 Dec 2006 16:49 GMT21
Ok, I don't know if this is the sort of UT problem you guys can help
with, but I'll ask anyway...
I've had a lot of trouble with trojans and viruses on my computer
recently, and via my Sygate Firewall, I've blocked some programs from
grappling hook for UT04 Dec 2006 02:35 GMT7

still maddening02 Dec 2006 05:34 GMT1
After all these years, it still messes me up that the steering controls
for ground vehicles don't work like a normal steering wheel.  When
you're backing up, the controls are reversed from what any normal
person would expect.
some improvements for the next version of UT01 Dec 2006 02:42 GMT2
The user should be able to have the game/map selection screen open
next to the map list screen, and switch between the two.  That way you
can scroll down the list of maps, see the screenshot and how many
players the map can hold, and add the map to the maplist without
