So, after this much time has passed since T:DS, has anyone been able to
create or modify game files for fan missions that could include rope
arrows?

been quite as of late anyway.
 After a recent computer crash and I lost everything :-(( my T:DS was
closer then T2, so I installed it and played it all the way through.

Thief DS already on pc and been played a few times, installed
Garretloader 1.41
pointed to game and fm directories click save and everything is ok, fm
games list at the top.
